Grasshopping Porcupine

The Porcupine is realized starting from the tool “Array on Curve”. The parametric model allowed to search the best configuration by varying the curve of the track or the curve of the array. The different splitting of the track in elements allowed to variate the sitting density and
the compactness of the final product.
Even the angle of coupling between the array curve and the track has been the subject of careful study in order to assess what the situation was the best one.

The height of extrusion of the individual elements that compose the porcupine was monitored using a reference to an external design, which affected the immediately the model configuration.
The same method was used to vary the angle of rotation of the individual elements.

The end result is a unique model that can adapt from time to time to different needs.
